James K Rilling::Laboratory for Darwinian Neuroscience:: People: Jennifer Mascaro
I entered Emory Anthropology's doctoral program and started working in Dr.
Rilling's
lab in 2005-2006. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in
Anthropology and Pre-Medical studies. My interests center on the study of emotion
and social cognition, and I hope to use a variety of neuroimaging techniques
to shed light on both evolutionary questions regarding the origins of human
social cognition and on questions of human variation and plasticity. I am currently
using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to explore cerebro-cerebellar connectivity.
In the future, I plan to use DTI and fMRI to study aspects of emotion and social
cognition.
