Study Abroad
If you are considering study abroad or summer research, we urge you to discuss the programs with your advisor. To assure acceptability of credit, such programs must receive prior departmental approval. To have specific study abroad courses evaluated, please obtain a study abroad course equivalence form from the CIPA office (1385 Oxford Road). Once you have completed the form, bring it in to the Anthropology Department Office, 207 Anthropology Building, along with detailed course descriptions for all courses you would like to have reviewed. Indicate whether you are seeking general elective credit, minor credit, or major credit. The Director of Undergraduate Studies will review the materials and make a determination of course equivalencies. When the evaluation is completed, you will be notified by email and you will be able to pick up your form. The evaluation process is usually completed in 1-2 days. Please contact the CIPA office about deadlines for obtaining course equivalencies prior to study abroad and allow plenty of time for processing.
